Sticky Board is operated by JV Digital LLC, Massachusetts ("we"). The short version is on the what this records page. This page is the policy that goes with it.
When you text the board we receive your mobile number, the text and any photo you sent, and the time. When a superintendent adds you as a member we store your number and the name they typed. We keep a log of received texts for seven days and of our replies for ninety days to diagnose problems. We do not collect location, contacts, or anything from your phone other than the message you sent.
To show the note on the board, to reply to you about your note, to let you clear and undo your own notes, and to show the board's superintendent board-level totals (notes per day, share cleared within two days). We do not produce per-person statistics, we do not sell or share data for advertising, and we never send marketing texts.
Only the service providers named on the what this records page (Cloudflare, Twilio, Anthropic), each for the single purpose described there. We disclose data when the law requires it, and we tell the board's superintendent when we are allowed to.
By texting a board's number you agree to receive reply texts about your notes. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop replies; your notes still save. Reply HELP for help. Mobile numbers and texting consent are never shared with third parties for their marketing.
Retention is set per board by its superintendent and described on the what-this-records page. You can ask the superintendent or us to delete your notes or your number at any time; a private board's owner can delete it from the manage page.
Boards are reached by random links that can be revoked one at a time. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by our hosting provider. Text messages themselves travel over carrier networks and are not end-to-end encrypted.
The service is for workplaces and adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
